Short Programme in Sound Design and Post Production

The sound course deals with the practical application of Post Production Audio for picture. The course is intensive and pitched at industry standards. Classes will be held in City Varsity’s Pro Tools Lab Basic principals will be the same for all makes of software and hardware. These modules can be done separately or as one complete course. The facilities at CityVarsity are state-of-the-art. The course is aimed at students who have an interest in working in the audio for film industry and or commercial film industry.

Completion of minimum requirements for this short course will result in the issuance of a CityVarsity Certificate of Proficiency. Should a student not have met the minimum requirements but have attended more than 80% of lectures, a CityVarsity Certificate of Attendance will be issued. Certificates are only issued once the balance have been settled in full.This short learning programme is not registered on the NQF and is not credit bearing.
