The purpose of the Higher Certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics Management is to prepare students for the field of Supply Chain and Logistics Management by catering for seasoned professionals as well as new entrants to the industry. This is done by providing a formal learning intervention through a Higher Certificate: course. The Higher Certificate: Supply Chain and Logistics Management will contribute to the career progression of seasoned individuals by consolidating their practical experience as well as acting as an entry point for aspiring supply chain and logistics professionals.

The underlying purpose of the Higher Certificate: Supply Chain and Logistics Management is to produce individuals capable to making appropriate decisions within the Supply Chain and Logistics industry. Graduates of the Higher Certificate: Supply Chain and Logistics Management will be able to contribute positively to their employer within the Supply Chain and Logistics Industry and will enable a number of management competencies.

Duration

The programme duration is 1 year on a full-time basis, or 2 years on a part-time basis.

Admission Requirements

  • A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Higher Certificate endorsement or,
  • A National Certificate Vocational (NCV) at NQF Level 4 with Diploma endorsement or,
  • A Amended Senior Certificate (ASC), with Diploma endorsement or,
  • A Senior Certificate (SC) or Foreign School leaving Certificate that complies with minimum admission requirements for Diploma study as gazetted by the Matriculation Brd (Equivalency evaluation is completed with the Matriculation Brd) or
  • A Senate discretionary admission or Mature Age (45 years of age): Conditions apply or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
