National Senior Certificate Grade 12 (Without SBA)

Do you need credits to obtain your National Senior Certificate (NSC) because you did not meet the minimum pass requirements in previous examination sittings? Did you complete the CASS (continuous assessment) / SBA (School Based Assessment) component for all the subjects for which you have written the final external Grade 12 examinations? You can enrol for the subjects that you wish to repeat without having to re-do the SBA component.

Duration

The programme duration is 12 months minimum.

Certification

UMALUSI will issue you with a National Senior Certificate after it has been determined that you meet the minimum pass requirements for the National Senior Certificate.

Admission Requirements

An official Grade 12 Statement of Results confirming the results for the subjects for which you want to enrol. Repeater candidates must attach a copy of their previous / first examination sitting (Statement of Results). Your School-Based Assessment (SBA) marks are valid for 3 years from the year in which you wrote your final external examinations. Please ensure that your SBA marks are still valid.
